Great opportunity to grow your career Excellent benefits package About Our Client Our client is a Manhattan based commercial general contractor with project work concentrated in the public works space. Job Description Project Planning & Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other professionals to ensure project requirements and objectives are met. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to avoid delays and resolve any issues. Budget & Cost Management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and accurate financial forecasting. Prepare and manage change orders, ensure that all costs are tracked, and handle invoicing and payments. Review project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and other personnel involved in the project. Promote teamwork and collaboration across all project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and efficient operations. Conduct regular meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and ensure that safety protocols are being followed. Quality Assurance & Safety: Ensure that construction work is of the highest quality and complies with all industry standards and regulations. Monitor site safety, identify potential hazards, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations. Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Project Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and permits. Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted to regulatory bodies and that all approvals are obtained. Keep detailed records of inspections, communications, and decisions made during the project. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred). Proven experience (5 years) in managing construction projects, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects successfully. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project). In-depth understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and contract administration. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and contracts. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in construction. Certifications (Preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. LEED Certification or similar sustainability-related certifications (if applicable). OSHA 30-hour Certification. Working Conditions: Full-time position with office and site-based responsibilities. Occasional travel required to project sites. Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, with occasional extended hours.
