Job Description

Our client, a leading global insurance group, is seeking a UK-qualified employment lawyer to join their international legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a highly respected, regulated business with operations across multiple jurisdictions. As Employment Counsel, you’ll play a key role in shaping and supporting employment law strategies across the organisation, partnering closely with HR, Legal, Compliance, and senior stakeholders worldwide. Responsibilities: Provide legal support to the various internal departments Work with other in-house counsels and outside counsels, as required Negotiate and draft complex transactional agreements Taking preemptive measures to avoid legal risks and conflicts Profile: UK-qualified lawyer with extensive experience in employment law In-depth experience within the insurance industry is essential , ideally in a multinational setting Prior in-house legal experience, preferably within a regulated sector such as insurance, banking, or financial services Demonstrated strength in drafting and negotiating HR-related documents Ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable business solutions Strong knowledge of HR operations, systems, data, AI, and employee lifecycle practices A strategic, pragmatic mindset with excellent analytical and communication skills This is a 12 month contract role offering a unique opportunity to work within a global organisation while contributing to key legal initiatives.
