Company Background: Our client is a leading force in the UK renewable energy sector, managing a portfolio of seven ready-to-build sites with a total capacity of 660MW-comprising solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). They are well-capitalised and poised for significant growth, with energisation of the first projects expected in Q1 2025. Position Overview: As an Electrical Power Systems Engineer, you will lead the technical execution of electrical power systems projects. Your role involves managing electrical workstreams for renewable energy projects, ensuring seamless integration with the grid, and maintaining high standards of technical excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead technical processes for electrical and power systems projects. Manage power systems studies to ensure compliance. Oversee data and communication interfaces with grid operators and stakeholders. Conduct system studies and provide technical guidance. Coordinate with contractors and external stakeholders. Provide technical leadership to internal teams. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Support Project Managers in monitoring project scope and compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 5-7 years of experience in electrical or power systems engineering. Solid understanding of power systems, including generation, distribution, and transmission. Experience in managing compliance processes. Preferred Skills: Experience with power generation and grid integration. Familiarity with renewable energy technologies. Proficiency in engineering software tools (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
