Principal AI Architect

Principal AI Architect A well-known global consultancy is seeking a Principal AI Architect to join its high-performing team and lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions. This is a senior role suited to a technically strong and visionary individual who can drive innovation at scale. About the Role As a Principal AI Architect, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the implementation of AI-powered systems that solve complex business challenges. You will work across large-scale digital transformation programmes, collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure AI initiatives are aligned with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead the architectural design of advanced AI and machine learning solutions for enterprise clients Define AI roadmaps, frameworks, and reference architectures in line with business goals Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into AI strategies Select and implement appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, explainable, and ethically sound Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering and data science teams Stay current with industry developments and bring forward innovative ideas and approaches Experience Required Strong experience in AI/ML solution architecture within large-scale, complex environments Hands-on expertise with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and/or large language models Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow, SageMaker, or Databricks Deep understanding of data architecture, APIs, and model deployment best practices Knowledge of MLOps and full model lifecycle management Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Desirable MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field Experience in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government Exposure to generative AI and foundation models Whats on Offer This is a fantastic opportunity to shape AI strategy within a globally recognised consultancy, working on high-impact projects that influence entire industries.
