Mission This role focuses on the project & proposal management of international R&D projects, aimed at sustainability and decarbonization of the built environment, smart energy management, and climate change adaptation at rural and urban levels. Key Accountabilities The new resource will be part of the Energy Innovation Strategic Centre team, mainly working on R&D projects and innovation activities. They will: Manage EU R&D projects in sustainability, decarbonization, and climate adaptation of the built environment in urban and rural contexts, including building energy efficiency measures, smart energy management systems, positive energy districts, and the New European Bauhaus framework. Develop and manage EU R&D proposals in the same fields. Develop and manage the network of international partners of the EU project. Scout funded and tendered opportunities in energy efficiency. Contribute to RINA’s technical development activities within EU-funded projects, collaborating with international partners. Contribute to or deliver reports on European research and innovation projects related to energy efficiency, decarbonization, and climate mitigation and adaptation. Assist in creating new opportunities and preparing new proposals within European and international R&D programmes. Support the growth of RINA’s R&D partner network in energy transition and climate mitigation. LI-MR1 Education Master’s Degree or Doctorate/PHD in Civil Engineering or Architecture. Qualifications Degree in Energy/Building Engineering or Architecture, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency of buildings or climate strategies for the built environment. PhD is a strong plus. Minimum 3 years of related work experience (including PhD). Fluency in English and Italian. Excellent reporting skills, both verbal and written. Research, organizational, and results-oriented skills. Strong teamwork attitude. Open-mindedness to innovation and good networking skills.
