Tekla Detailer - Structural Steel

Job Title: Tekla Detailer Location: Preston, Lancashire Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Type: Full-Time, Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Tekla Detailer to join a leading structural steel contractor based in Preston . This is a fantastic chance to be part of a well-established team working on a variety of structural steel projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel detailing and be confident using Tekla Structures to produce accurate 3D models and drawings. Key Responsibilities: Produce detailed Tekla 3D models for structural steelwork Generate fabrication and erection drawings, GA drawings, and reports Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams Ensure all detailing work is accurate, buildable, and aligned with project deadlines Contribute to design and detailing solutions during project development Requirements: Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer within the structural steel industry Proficiency in Tekla Structures is essential Strong understanding of fabrication and construction processes Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Must be able to commute daily to the Preston office (this is not a remote role) What's on Offer: Competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 , depending on experience Full-time, permanent position within a growing company Opportunity to work on a variety of large and complex steel structures Supportive team environment with room for professional development
