Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: Chelmsford, Essex (Hybrid – Office-based with some remote working) Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 Package Overview: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Client's commercial team based in Chelmsford, Essex. Key Responsibilities: * Support the commercial team with the management of project costs, valuations, and reporting * Assist in the preparation and analysis of tender documentation * Monitor project progress and help manage subcontractor accounts * Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting * Help with the procurement of subcontractors and materials * Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts * Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and commercial best practices Requirements: * Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field * Previous experience with a Main construction or Sub Contractor is preferred * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Self-motivated and eager to develop professionally * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software (e.g. Excel, project cost systems) Benefits: * Bupa private healthcare * 29 days annual leave (including bank holidays) * Annual bonus scheme * Hybrid working (office-based with flexibility to work from home) * Opportunities to work with top-tier contractors on diverse, exciting projects * Ongoing support and development to progress your career To apply, please send through your updated cv noting your experience or contact Tamara or further information
