Mechanical Technician - Witham area - up to £50,000 - 28 days holiday plus bank holidays Are you a skilled Mechanical Technician looking for a role in a innovative facility that values its employees? A leading waste management and energy recovery site is seeking a dedicated professional to join their maintenance team. About the Role As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining a state-of-the-art Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF), ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mechanical engineering systems that process non-recyclable waste to generate electricity. Your responsibilities will include: Performing preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems Supporting planned and unplanned shutdown activities Ensuring all maintenance activities meet safety, environmental, and quality standards Working alongside internal teams and external service providers Contributing to operational improvement projects What's on offer: Annual Performance Bonus - Up to 2.5% of base salary. Who We're Looking For: NVQ Level 3 (preferred), HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance Minimum 2 years' experience in a complex operational environment (e.g., Power Generation, Industrial Process, Oil & Gas) Strong knowledge of furnace/boiler systems or rotating equipment is advantageous Commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance Ability to work as part of a 24/7 operational team, including participation in an on-call rota Ready to Join?
