Quantity Surveyor

My client is looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who can take commercial responsibility for a mix of live and upcoming projects—ranging from £500k to £10M. About the Company: This is a well-established, family-run construction business based in Herefordshire, known for quality delivery, long-standing client relationships, and a collaborative team culture. Projects include new builds and refurbishments across public and private sectors. Role & Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation of tenders, budgets, and cost plans * Carry out accurate cost management on live projects from procurement to final account * Prepare valuations, variations, and CVRs with support from Senior QS or Commercial Manager * Engage with subcontractors and suppliers, issuing orders and reviewing performance * Conduct site visits and work closely with site managers and clients to monitor project progress * Ensure compliance with contracts and commercial controls What We’re Looking For: * 1–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role * Background across multiple sectors is a plus (e.g., commercial, housing, education) * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Proficient in MS Excel and standard QS software * A team player with ambition to progress to Senior QS What’s On Offer: * Competitive salary and benefits package * Company car or allowance * Supportive team with mentoring and development * Variety of projects across sectors with local site focus * Excellent long-term progression within the business For more information, please call Rhys Jones in the ITS Cheltenham office
