Mechanical Design Engineer

Join an engineering team as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Gauteng! In this role, you will be responsible for designing mechanical components for specialised pump systems, producing detailed drawings, and supporting production teams with any technical challenges. Your expertise in mechanical engineering, pump design, and hydraulic loading will be essential in ensuring that each design meets customer specifications and performs reliably under pressure. To succeed in this role, you should have 5 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly with pump components or rotating equipment like gearboxes or motors. A Mechanical Engineering degree and PREng registration are required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with different teams will also be valuable. Proficiency in Autodesk software and knowledge of material strengths and tolerances are key to success.
