To succeed in this role, you should have 5 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly with pump components or rotating equipment like gearboxes or motors. A Mechanical Engineering degree and PREng registration are required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with different teams will also be valuable. Proficiency in Autodesk software and knowledge of material strengths and tolerances are key to success.
