IT Asset and License Manager (m/f/d) Category: Architecture Main location: Germany, Bavaria, Munich Job ID: J1024-2364 Type of employment: Full-time Job Description As a license manager, you will play a key role in our team in the planning, control and further development of our license management. You are our central point of contact for all license requests and ensure that our software products are always used by our customers in a cost-effective and license-compliant manner. Your work is crucial for designing efficient processes in license management and for avoiding economic and operational risks due to incorrect licensing - today and in the future. As part of our team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our clients' license portfolios, reducing complexity and increasing cost efficiency in license management. You negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that software products are managed efficiently throughout the software lifecycle in compliance with licensing requirements. To strengthen our team in the public environment, we are looking for a Software Asset and License Manager (m/f/d) at our location in Munich, with the possibility of remote work at the earliest possible date. Tasks: Central contact for all license requests from our customers and stakeholders Planning, control and further development of license management Ensuring the economical and license-compliant use of software products Avoidance of risks due to incorrect licensing Support for software audits and customer projects on licensing issues Independent organization and negotiation of software and maintenance contracts Participation in the development of a new license management system and the optimization of SAM processes Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of licensing models, license terms and licensing practices of common software vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle). Familiarity with the processes, tools and best practices for software asset management, ideally in accordance with SAM standards such as ISO/IEC 19770, ITIL IT Asset Management (ITAM) Ability to analyze license requirements and structures in order to make economic and license-compliant decisions Experience in contract negotiations. Proven experience in negotiating software and maintenance contracts with internal and external stakeholders. Practical experience in accompanying software audits and ensuring license compliance in customer projects. Experience in managing projects, in particular with regard to the introduction and further development of license management systems and optimization and improvement of processes and procedures. Experience in using common tools and systems for license and contract management (e.g. ServiceNow, Snow, Flexera etc.). What we offer: With us, you'll find colleagues who are fun to work with.
