Maintenance Support Operative

Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development, building services and construction groups, are seeking to hire a committed individual to join their hard services maintenance team based in a significant MOD location in Whitehall. The role will see you assist in various maintenance duties , escorting sub-contractors and develop electrical testing skills What you will be doing : * Quickly learn (with training) to carry out portable appliance testing including recording of results in a digital format * Carry out security escorting duties to Sub Contractors ensuring site security rules and procedures are adhered to at all times * Reactive Maintenance and extra work requirements in adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA requirement. * Fault Finding and plant adjustments. * Execution of maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification. * Respond to re-active works. What you’ll bring to the role: * You will be a reliable worker , someone who is open to learn new skills if you are not already an electrical tester * Health & Safety IOSH qualification or similar * Forward thinking pro-active approach * Be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues and clients at varying levels. * Client Customer facing experience * Be able to hold and maintain DV STRAP security clearance - for this we need sole UK citizenship and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years
