Job Description
Step onto a clear path to seniority, owning your own projects and shaping safety strategy across major UK builds—on your terms. You’ll have full flexibility to work from home, from site, or from client offices—whatever makes the most sense for you and your projects. This isn’t a monitoring role; you’ll lead safety strategy, influence design outcomes, and work directly with major housebuilders and national contractors on commercial schemes. You’ll know exactly where you’re heading. With milestones mapped out for your first five years, you'll work toward Senior PD in 2–3 years and Associate PD in 5 – all backed by structured progression, 1-to-1 support and paid CPD. You’ll have direct client contact and manage your own project portfolio from day one, giving you the experience and visibility to accelerate your growth. What You’ll Be Doing Lead CDM services and act as Principal Designer on construction projects across residential, commercial and infrastructure Own your project portfolio—attend design meetings, guide safety decisions early, and manage deliverables Draft and review PCI, manage design risks, and contribute to large/high-risk project strategies Split time: 50% on site or with clients, 50% remote working You’ll Need To Show: At least 2 years' experience as a CDM Principal Designer NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar H&S/CDM qualification (or actively working toward it) A clear understanding of the CDM 2015 Regs Strong construction knowledge and experience leading CDM for live projects About the Company This independent consultant manages hundreds of projects each year, working with some of the UK’s top contractors and developers.
