Senior Project Engineer

Senior Project Engineer Location: North-west England (Hybrid) Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £65,000 Piper Maddox are working with a global renewable energy IPP who have a pipeline exceeding 25GW. As they further expand in the UK, they are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. You will take a lead in developing technical designs, managing project engineering through various phases, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and stakeholder expectations. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimise technical designs using PVsyst, PVCase, and other tools. Lead engineering workstreams from feasibility to detailed design and construction. Coordinate with technical advisors, contractors, and survey providers. Prepare technical documentation for tenders, contracts, and project approvals. Oversee technical compliance during installation and commissioning. Support due diligence and interface with external consultants, ICPs, and Owner’s Engineers. Candidate Profile Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering, or similar. Experience with utility-scale solar PV and/or battery projects. Proficiency in solar design software (PVsyst, PVCase). Good understanding of UK electrical and renewable energy standards.
