Vice President Partnerships FinTech / Embedded Finance / BaaS London £100,000 - £125,000 bonus benefits A rapidly scaling financial technology firm is seeking a VP of Partnerships to lead the growth and optimisation of its global banking and payments network. The company delivers embedded financial services to digital businesses through a unified, API-led platform—and is looking for a strategic leader to strengthen its banking infrastructure as it expands across new markets. The Role This senior-level position is focused on building and enhancing strategic partnerships with banks, payment providers, and fintech partners worldwide. You’ll play a central role in the development of a scalable, resilient, and commercially effective banking network—working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class infrastructure. It’s a high-impact role with direct influence on international growth. Responsibilities Identify, secure, and grow banking and payments relationships across key global markets. Manage commercial negotiations, pricing, and service agreements with institutional partners. Monitor transaction data to ensure optimal cost structures and service performance. Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership strategies with evolving product needs and client requirements. Act as the main point of contact for banking partners, handling escalations and ongoing communications. Conduct rigorous due diligence and ongoing assessments of partner risk and performance. Stay informed of emerging technologies and new payment rails to support innovation and market expansion. Own the full lifecycle of partner growth—from sourcing and contracting through to performance management. Requirements Deep experience in banking, payments infrastructure, or BaaS, ideally in a fast-growth tech environment. Strong track record of developing new partnerships and driving commercial results. Skilled in stakeholder management—both internally across departments and externally with partners. Confident in leading commercial negotiations and navigating complex regulatory frameworks. Comfortable working autonomously while balancing multiple workstreams and priorities. Excellent communicator with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams. A strategic thinker with sharp business acumen and a focus on scalable execution. Knowledge of embedded finance, API-led banking models, and the broader fintech ecosystem is a strong advantage.
