Refresh Support Engineer

Job Title: Refresh Support Engineer Location : Swindon, UK (On-site) Contract Type: 3 Months (Possibility of extension) Day Rate: Up to £210/day (via Umbrella) We’re hiring a Refresh Support Engineer for a short-term project with a major international insurance client. You’ll be working onsite in Swindon , supporting a large-scale PC hardware refresh for approximately 5,000 users. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced deskside or deployment engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working hands-on with hardware and end users. Key Responsibilities: Build and prepare replacement devices and manage shipping. Coordinate lifecycle of PC builds in line with project goals. Keep deployment schedule and project team updated. Update asset management systems post-deployment. Book couriers and ensure correct documentation for shipped machines. Occasionally deliver devices on-site and support end users. Assist with asset stock counts and audits. Suggest and support project process improvements. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in PC builds, refresh, or deskside support (Windows 11). Familiar with M365, Autopilot, Intune, or ServiceNow (training available). Strong skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to follow governance processes. Awareness of GDPR and data handling best practices. Proactive team player who works well under pressure and can prioritise tasks.
