Maintenance Engineer Location: Llanfor Salary: £46,000 Premium overtime Specialist training Great Benefits Hours: 4 on 4 off – 12-hour shifts (rotating days and nights on an 8-week cycle) Are you a skilled maintenance engineer looking to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your expertise will make a real difference? We’re currently recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to support a busy production site supplying high-quality baked goods across the UK. Key Responsibilities: Carry out both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and plant equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency. Maintain and support equipment such as conveyors, sealers, mixers, and wrap machines. Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and production lines. Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth handovers and effective communication across shifts. Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and documented in line with internal policies. Assist in continuous improvement projects, helping identify and implement operational enhancements. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. About You: Electrically biased with a minimum of 16th Edition Wiring Regulations (17th or 18th Edition advantageous). Basic understanding of mechanical and pneumatic systems. Apprentice trained. Hands-on experience maintaining conveyors, sealers, mixers, and wrap machines is highly desirable. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment; food production experience preferred but not essential. Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. A team player with good communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude. Capable of planning and prioritising your own workload and supporting colleagues when needed.
