Commissioning Engineer

Job Title: Commissioning Engineer (Contract – 6 Months, Outside IR35) Location: Leicester (On-site with Occasional Travel) Sector: Automation / Special Purpose Machinery Contract Type: Outside IR35 Rate: Competitive Our client, a leading name in the automation and special purpose machinery sector, is looking to engage an experienced Commissioning Engineer on a 6-month contract. Based on-site in Leicester, the role will primarily involve commissioning of machinery in-house, with occasional site visits for installation and commissioning activities. Key Responsibilities: * In-house commissioning of bespoke automated machinery * Occasional on-site support for installation and final commissioning * Fault finding and debugging of control systems * Working with Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLCs * Collaboration with design, build, and controls teams throughout the project lifecycle Requirements: * Proven experience commissioning automation or special purpose machinery * Strong knowledge of PLC-based control systems (Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley) * Hands-on, practical engineering approach * Willingness to travel occasionally for site support * Able to work full-time on-site in Leicester
