Job Title: Project Manager – Special Purpose Machinery / Automation (Contract - Outside IR35) Location: Leicester (On-site) Contract Length: 6 Months Rate: Competitive – Outside IR35 We are working with an industry-leading client in the special purpose machinery and automation sector, based in Leicester, who are looking to engage a Project Manager on a contract basis. This role is outside IR35 and will be based fully on-site. About the Role: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of bespoke machinery and automation projects—from initial specification through to delivery and installation. You’ll coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and procurement to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * End-to-end project management of special purpose machinery/automation projects * Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets * Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success * Managing risk, change, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle * Regular reporting to senior management on project status and key milestones Requirements: * Proven experience delivering complex machinery or automation projects * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills * Comfortable working on-site in a fast-paced engineering environment * A structured, detail-oriented approach to project delivery * Experience in medical machinery or regulated environments would be highly advantageous Contract Details: * Outside IR35 * On-site in Leicester * Immediate start preferred
