DRE Fuel Systems

About the Role This position will be responsible for the design, development, timing and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems: Filler pipes, Fuel lines, Tanks, Canisters. Other responsibilities will include quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management. The Design Release Engineer will interact with suppliers and will work closely with internal and external groups such as testing and prototype labs, CAE engineers, vehicle program team, supplier operations and manufacturing plants. Responsibilities Design, development, timing and production release of a system/component within Fuels Systems Quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives Communicating technical product status to management Interacting with suppliers and working closely with internal and external groups Qualifications 3 years of experience in Fuel Systems components, such as: filler pipes, fuel caps/capless units, chassis bundles, fuel and vapor lines. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering is required. Must be from an ABET accredited university/or equivalent. BSME preferred. Required Skills Experience in Fuel Systems components Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering Strong leadership, communication & organizational skills Problem-solving ability Preferred Skills Experience in Formula SAE, Baja, or similar college programs Design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and/or UREA Internship experience in Fuel Systems (UREA also considered)
