DATA SCIENTIST Spanish or German proficient speaker Location: Bologna, Italy We continue our partnership with Areté – The Agri-food Intelligence Company , a leading Italian player in providing data and consulting services to companies and institutions in the agri-food sector. In a phase of strong growth, Areté develops data-driven products and forecasting services that support strategic and operational decision-making across all levels of the agri-food supply chain. We are currently hiring for the Market Intelligence team, focusing on Agrifood and Energy markets. Selected candidates will be involved in analyzing commodity markets for food use, developing price forecasts, and supporting leading companies in the food and agribusiness industries in optimizing their procurement and risk management strategies. Key Responsibilities: Market analysis and price forecasting Forecasting model development Risk analysis and volatility management Financial hedging strategy support Client relationship management (front office) Requirements: Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, or a related field Familiarity with statistical software, database management, and data visualization tools Strong proficiency in either Spanish or German (C1 or C2 level) , along with at least a basic knowledge of Italian, to support effective communication within the team and across internal processes Strong communication and teamwork skills Proactivity, learning mindset, and results orientation Previous experience (1–3 years) in forecasting, market analysis, or the agri-food sector is considered a valuable asset What We Offer: A young and dynamic work environment focused on continuous learning and professional development Opportunities to work alongside industry experts and enhance both technical and analytical skills Clear career paths and ongoing training The role is based at our Headquarters in Bologna .
