VmWare Engineer - DV

VmWare Engineer Site: full time onsite in either Bracknell or Birmingham Clearance requirement : DV level IR35 Status : Inside Overview: We're looking for a VMware Engineer to support the delivery and management of a virtualised infrastructure platform. You'll play a key role in ensuring stability, performance, and scalability across VMware platforms. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues across virtual environments Handle capacity planning, patching, and upgrades Support backup and disaster recovery strategies within virtualised estates Work closely with storage, networking, and security teams Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures Key Skills & Experience: Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Solid understanding of virtual networking and storage concepts Experience with VMware tools like vSAN, NSX, and vRealize Suite is a plus Comfortable with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerCLI, PowerShell) Familiar with backup and replication solutions (e.g., Veeam) VMware certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP) desirable Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply.
