Job Opportunity: Permitting Officer Location: North London Office, Garman Road, N17 Marlborough Highways have a fantastic opportunity for a Permitting officer to join a growing business within a busy department at our North London Office. What You’ll Be Doing: Raise permit applications based on work descriptions for submission to the Highways Authority. Keep all permits and notices updated Ensure works are on track, and request extensions if needed. Liaise with Project Managers and Supervisors to manage road space bookings efficiently. Input and update permitting information using Excel and Teams Build and nurture relationships with Local Authorities and other stakeholders. Monitor inspections of reinstatement and tackle any challenges with FPN and inspection data. What We’re Looking For: Prior experience in Raising permit applications If you have a passion for the highways industry and meet the following criteria, we want to hear from you: Experience: Proven track record in the highways industry. Legislative Know-How: Familiarity with the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and the London Permit Scheme. Admin Skills: Strong organisational and administration skills TechSavvy: Knowledge of street works management systems and experience with Insight/Symology is a plus! Person specification Excellent attention to detail Computer literate Good written and verbal communication skills.
