Job Description

Role: Site Engineer Company: Heavy Civils – Marine Salary: £350 - £450 Per Day Location: Newhaven Our client is a well-established Civil Engineering Main Contractor, highly regarded in the Marine sector with an excellent industry reputation. This is a 6-month contract where you’ll play a key role in technical delivery, including lifting operations from a barge brought over by their European sister company. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a unique, collaborative project with international scope. The project value is £5.5Million involving quay walls, piling, sea defences, and jetty construction. You’ll be working closely with the site and project management team to deliver schemes safely, accurately, and to programme. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out and surveying for marine works * Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring works are built to spec * Assisting with ITPs, QA, and H&S documentation * Liaising across the site and subcontractor teams for seamless delivery * Supporting temporary works and barge operations Requirements: * Degree or HND in Civil Engineering * Experience in Marine or heavy civils * Skilled in GPS, Total Station, AutoCAD * Strong awareness of marine risks (tides, ingress, temporary works) * CSCS card (SSSTS or SMSTS an advantage) What’s on offer: * Competitive day rate * 6-month contract * Vehicle or allowance * Work on a high-profile marine package with international collaboration If you’re an experienced Site Engineer looking to join a well established Marine Main Contractor, please apply today or get in touch with Philippa for a confidential, more detailed discussion Role: Site Engineer Company: Heavy Civils – Marine Salary: £350 - £450 Per Day Location: Newhaven
