Lead Unreal & Unity Developer | Up to £50,000 | Portsmouth - Hybrid About the Role Seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Developer to lead the development and delivery of immersive XR projects using Unity and Unreal Engine. You'll work closely with R&D and XR teams on cutting-edge training simulations for the defence and private sectors, helping to modernise and innovate digital training solutions. Key Responsibilities * Develop and deliver immersive XR applications using game technologies. * Lead a team of developers with collaborative workflows and source control best practices. * Write clean, reusable C# code and review code from team members. * Manage testing, deployment, and documentation of applications. * Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams. * Create career progression plans for your development team. * Support subcontractors during project development and delivery. * Identify emerging XR technologies and contribute to R&D initiatives. Required Skills * 4 years of C# programming experience. * Strong experience with Unity or Unreal Engine, with examples of completed XR projects. * Experience leading development teams and managing collaborative workflows. * Proficient with source control systems and full development pipelines. * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. * SC clearable.
