Butler Rose is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Trust Tax Manager to join a growing Top 40 accountancy firm. Based in Thame, this full-time permanent role offers hybrid working options and the flexibility to tailor your hours to suit your lifestyle. As a Trust Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of Trust and Estate clients. You'll be responsible for the preparation of tax returns, providing advisory support, and liaising with clients directly. With a strong emphasis on technical excellence and client relationships, this role offers both professional growth and exposure to a wide range of high-value clients. What's in it for you: Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 from home) Flexible hours around a 10am-4pm core Bespoke management development programme 25 days holiday plus wellbeing day, flexible bank holidays & holiday trading Private healthcare, health cash plan, EV & cycle to work schemes A culture of recognition with internal awards, long service awards, and regular company events What we're looking for: CTA/STEP/ACA/ACCA qualified with 3 years UK post-qualified experience Strong understanding of trust taxation, IHT returns, and trust accounts Experience working with a range of UK trusts, including preparation of tax returns Knowledge of CCH tax and accounting software is beneficial Excellent client relationship, project management, and communication skills Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure Key Responsibilities: Manage the preparation of annual tax returns and trust accounts for a varied portfolio Review IHT returns and ensure compliance with trust-related tax matters Provide advisory support to Partners and assist with complex technical queries Attend Trustee meetings and liaise directly with clients on trust matters Support the senior team with ad-hoc tasks and ensure a high-quality client experience This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm with plenty of development opportunities and exposure to a wide range of clients.
