Management Accountant

Management Accountant Wakefield Are you a qualified Management Accountant looking to join a forward-thinking, fast-growing business?Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting a Management Accountant to become a key part of a well-established finance team based in Wakefield. This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts, providing insightful financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Duties & Responsibilities of the Management Accountant: Producing monthly P&Ls and supporting MI across UK and European entities Reviewing P&Ls with initial commentary and variance analysis Managing accruals, prepayments, GRNI accruals, and journal entries (payroll/general) Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations Producing detailed margin reports for each site, complete with analysis and commentary Monitoring weekly cash flow and maintaining the fixed asset register Preparing and submitting VAT returns and EC Sales Lists Supporting with audit and tax queries, and submitting government stats Overseeing bank and invoice finance reconciliations Authorising BACS and same-day payments Taking ownership of month-end processes and deadlines Supporting senior members of the finance team with ad hoc requests We’re looking for someone who is not just technically strong, but who brings energy and a problem-solving mindset to the team. As well as: CIMA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) Proven experience in a similar management accounting role Strong understanding of core accounting principles and month-end processes Confident in forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis Advanced Excel skills are essential (pivot tables, lookups, modelling etc.) High attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude Ready to take the next step?
