Job Title: Senior GCP Engineer Role : Senior GCP Design and implement robust and scalable cloud solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based on business requirements and architectural best practices. - Architect and deploy applications and infrastructure on GCP, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and optimal performance. - Lead and contribute to cloud migration projects, transitioning applications and workloads from on-premises environments or other cloud platforms to GCP. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of GCP resources. - Implement and manage cloud orchestration and virtualization technologies within the GCP ecosystem. - Ensure the security of our GCP environment by implementing and adhering to security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and identity management. - Manage and optimize cloud networking components within GCP, including DNS, TCP/IP, and HTTP protocols. - Implement and manage data management strategies on GCP, ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance. - Design and implement solutions for big data architecture, cost optimization, and disaster recovery planning within GCP. - Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application performance, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively. - Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into application architectures and ensure seamless deployments. - Implement and manage cloud governance and compliance requirements, adhering to industry standards and regulations. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GCP services, cloud technologies, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for adoption. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud architecture documentation and best practices. - Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud technologies and services. - Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team. - Apply strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex cloud-related challenges. - Align cloud strategies with overall business objectives and provide strategic thinking and decision-making Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Overall 10-12 years of experience in the IT industry. - Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, or a similar role. - Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, or a similar role. - Relevant industry certifications, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Architect (Preferred), AWS Certified Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Mandatory Skills: - Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Deep proficiency and extensive hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform, including a wide range of services across compute, storage, networking, and security. - Cloud Computing Technologies & Architectures: In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies, architectures (e.g., microservices, serverless), and industry trends. - Application Architecture: Strong understanding of application architecture principles and best practices. - Orchestration & Virtualization: Experience with cloud orchestration and virtualization technologies within GCP. - Security Protocols: Strong understanding of security protocols and best practices in the cloud. - C# Programming: Proven experience with C# programming language. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong preference for Terraform. - Networking Concepts: Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, and HTTP. - Cloud Migration: Demonstrated experience in planning and executing cloud migration projects to GCP. - Data Management: Experience in implementing data management strategies in the cloud, including data storage, processing, and governance. - Data Privacy & Security: Strong understanding of principles and practices for ensuring data privacy and security in the cloud. - Big Data Architecture: Expertise in designing and implementing big data architectures on GCP. - Cost Optimization: Proven ability to implement strategies for optimizing cloud costs on GCP. - Disaster Recovery Planning: Experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans for cloud environments. - Cloud Security Best Practices: Deep familiarity with cloud security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and identity management within GCP. - Cloud Governance & Compliance: Knowledge of cloud governance frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to GCP. Preferred Skills: - Experience with other cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. - High-level knowledge of Active Directory and identity management concepts. - Strong understanding of OWASP best practices and secure software development principles. - Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools. - Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
