We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with experience in automation testing for web applications. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java and Selenium WebDriver, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test cases while ensuring high product quality. Key Responsibilities : - Identify and select test cases suitable for automation based on project requirements. - Design and document an effective test automation strategy. - Develop, review, and maintain detailed automation test plans. - Set up and configure the Selenium Test Environment (STE), including IDE integration. - Design and implement automation frameworks as per project scope. - Develop, debug, enhance, and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver. - Collaborate with developers and QA leads to understand functionality and performance expectations. - Handle version control and automation repositories using tools like Bitbucket. - Monitor the defect lifecycle, including tracking, reporting, and revalidation of fixes. - Execute regression testing and manage updates to scripts as application features evolve. - Provide detailed issue documentation including steps to reproduce, logs, and screenshots. - Work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. - Participate in regular client interactions to communicate progress and resolve testing issues. Required Skills & Experience : - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in automation testing. - Proficient in Java programming language. - Experience using Selenium WebDriver to automate web application testing. - Strong understanding of automation frameworks and object-oriented programming principles. - Proficiency in defect tracking and reporting using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. - Exposure to test tools and continuous integration (CI) platforms. - Hands-on experience with Bitbucket, Git, or similar version control tools. - Knowledge of regression and performance testing strategies. - Familiarity with TestNG, JUnit, or other testing frameworks. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). - Basic knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured. - Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies (ref:hirist.tech)
