Database Administrator - PostgreSQL/MySQL

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Noida. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration, with expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and cloud databases (AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. This role demands a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of database technologies. Responsibilities : Database Design and Implementation : - Design, implement, and maintain databases for high availability and scalability. - Develop and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes. - Ensure data integrity and consistency. Performance Optimization : - Optimize database performance, queries, and indexing strategies. - Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks. - Tune database parameters for optimal performance. Database Security and Backup : - Ensure database security by implementing access controls and security best practices. - Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures. - Perform regular database backups and restores. Troubleshooting and Debugging : - Troubleshoot database-related issues and optimize system performance. - Debug database performance issues using tools like pgAdmin, MySQL Workbench, and APM tools (New Relic, Datadog). - Identify and resolve database errors and performance problems. Database Monitoring and Alerting : - Implement database monitoring and alerting systems. - Set up alerts for critical database events and performance metrics. - Proactively monitor database health and performance. Collaboration and Integration : - Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for seamless database integration. - Provide database support for application development and deployment. - Participate in code reviews and provide database-related feedback. Cloud Database Management : - Manage and maintain cloud databases (AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL). - Implement cloud database backup, recovery, and security strategies. - Optimize cloud database performance and cost.
