Assoc. Director, Business Analyst, Technical Research & Development (TRD) Job ID : REQ-10018839 Location : Barcelona, Spain Summary This role involves transforming business requirements into IT solution design specifications to meet customer expectations while ensuring solutions are safe, reliable, scalable, and flexible. You will advise on improving global business processes, products, services, and software through data analysis, engaging with global business leaders and leveraging Data Digital and IT (DDIT) teams to deliver data-driven value-added recommendations. Role Responsibilities : Stay updated on internal IT systems, documentation standards, regulatory requirements, DDIT Service Portfolio, and industry best practices. Develop project rationale, scope assessments, and identify gaps in existing functionalities, reviewing requirements with stakeholders. Create comprehensive requirement specifications, estimate costs, time, and resources, and develop financial models. Coordinate with service development teams for high-level solutions. Involve relevant stakeholders in defining new services or major upgrades. Design solutions with a focus on user experience and ensure their deployment aligns with specifications and is fit for purpose. Maintain traceability between requirements, specifications, and testing/validation processes, supporting validation and testing activities. Support implementation, ensuring solutions meet specifications, and provide super user training. Role Requirements : University degree in Informatics, Computer Sciences, Life Sciences, or related fields. At least 10 years of experience in Pharma or IT industry, with 8 years in Lab IT domain. Minimum of 6 years as a business analyst, process expert, IT lead superuser, or in Lab data/Digital roles. Expertise in business process analysis, system architecture, and Lab business processes, with drug development experience preferred. Knowledge of GXP, 21CFR Part 11, CSV lifecycle, Lab systems including LIMS and Chromatography systems. Strong problem-solving skills for complex business and information challenges. Proficiency in working with global teams, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Basic project management skills; agile experience is a plus. Experience in TRD and digital innovation projects, data strategy, data science, or standardization is advantageous.
