Job Description
Job Title: Software Engineer II Job Description: Vanderlande is a global leader in value-added logistic process automation for warehouses, airports, and the parcel market. The Regional Customer Center Spain, based in Barcelona, focuses on South Europe (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France) and Latin American countries (Brazil, Chile, Perú, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Uruguay). Responsibilities: Participate actively in project definition phases. Create project configurations for software components. Design detailed application architectures and implement them through software and interface development for related systems. Verify software components, create unit tests, and review test documentation. Deploy, verify, and support components in factory and site environments, including commissioning at customer sites. Own related documentation and project deliverables. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve internal and external problems and requested changes. Provide support within the project team and to external stakeholders, including Level 3 support. Collaborate closely with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, and other Engineers across multiple projects. Report directly to the IT Software Team Leader. Your Profile: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Systems or Software Engineering, preferably with B2 English and Spanish skills. Experience in real-time systems and software development with C# and SQL Server (minimum 2 years). Basic knowledge of SQL language and TCP/IP interfaces. Advanced knowledge and experience with Angular and familiarity with the .NET framework. Experience with Jira and Bitbucket. Proven success in implementing APIs. Strong communication skills and a creative approach to building professional client relationships. Ability to work effectively in an international environment and willingness to travel occasionally. Team-oriented with attention to detail and a focus on value delivery. Highly Regarded (optional): Driving license. Knowledge of networking, IT infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Docker. Experience with big data analysis and BI platforms. Experience in logistics/production sectors and material handling. Agile mindset, with experience in Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
