Mechanical Design Engineer

White Label has a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of our market leading machinery manufacturing companies, who specialise in bespoke material handling equipment. The company is based in North Manchester and they’re looking for a Design Engineer with some previous working experience gained to join their business and support their ongoing expansion. Responsibilities of the Design Engineer include: * Preparation of design proposals for bespoke applications * Develop, maintain, and amend engineering design drawings using 2D and 3D software packages * Contribute to new product design, reducing costs and lead times by investigating and implementing new design techniques and manufacturing processes * Liaise with suppliers to find optimal design solutions * Responsible for ensuring designs meet required regulatory compliance Experience required for the Design Engineer: * Proficient in using Solid works software – or a similar 3D CAD * Proficient in using Solid Works Product data Management system (PDM) or a similar management system * Experience in Sheet Metal design * Use of Office 365 * Able to travel UK for site visits This is a fanatic opportunity to join a growing business where there is growth and progression opportunities available for ambitious individuals. The design work here is extremely interesting as is all bespoke to different customers requirements. They are offering a salary between £35k - £48k and 28 holidays inclusive of bank holidays.
