Job Description

Technical Coordinator with a Residential Developer (Privately owned affordable housing provider) Leicester (4 days in office, 1 day remote) Salary based on experience - up to £55,000 • Attend Contract Launch meeting to agree accountabilities. • Appoint external consultants and review and agree the scope of works. • Attend internal team project meetings to review key dates and agree timescales for information to be obtained from the relevant external consultants. • Ensure CDM information is provided by external consultants. • Liaise with building control and also the relevant guarantee provider for the project to close out any conditions or information requests. • Deal with service applications including applying for new service supplies and diversions and attend site meetings as required. • Ensure the live sites have construction status drawings in adequate time and that drawing folders are kept up to date with the latest revisions and drawing registers. • Control of the information flow ensuring the commercial team have sufficient information from the external consultants to obtain quotes and place orders in line with the procurement schedule. • Co-ordination of Design Team and Specialist subcontractors and arranging design team meetings to ensure delivery dates for information and drawings are being met. • Monitor release of design information against agreed programme. • Process design information and maintain drawing registers. • Provide technical advice as necessary and liaise with external consultants for scenarios where additional information is required to resolve technical queries. • Review design and specifications for alternatives to provide added value. • Manage design interface between packages. • Produce and keep up to date Development Trackers and maintain the project specific information trackers. • Ensure planning conditions are closed out by the Architect at the appropriate stages of the project and that all conditions are closed out prior to project handover. • Review sub-contractor design information including kitchen layouts and check the information provided against the contract documents and issue to the client team for review and comment. • Assist the Design Manager with management of the construction design phase and co- ordination of Design Team and ensuring compliance with CDM regulations. • Attend client design review meetings and record any queries raised on the project query trackers and ensure responses are provided and actions are closed out within the time specified. • Obtain client approvals of design related items in line with the build programme.
