Commercial Manager – Defence Contracts £45-55k Bonus Hybrid working - 2/3 days in office or customer sites. Are you a commercially astute professional with experience in customer facing defence contracts? We are recruiting for a leading organisation delivering advanced defence solutions. The Role: As a Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing high-value technology based defence contracts, from bidding and pre-signature negotiations to post-signature contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and compliance within a highly regulated and strategic environment. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Lead commercial activities across airborne defence contracts. ✅ Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals. ✅ Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key clients, suppliers, and government entities. ✅ Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security frameworks. ✅ Identify and mitigate contractual risks. ✅ Provide commercial guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholders. ✅ Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to drive business objectives. About You: ✔ Proven experience in a commercial/contracts management role. ✔ Strong understanding of defence contracts, including MOD and international agreements. ✔ Experience managing bids, pre-signature negotiations, and post-contract delivery. ✔ Excellent negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills. ✔ Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment. ✔ Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
