Position: Trainee Accountant 3-6 months contract - with a possibility of getting extended About the Role: As a Trainee Accountant, you will support our Finance Team by providing budgetary and financial information to the rest of the organisation. This is a trainee position, perfect for someone with some financial acumen who wants to follow a professional CIPFA/ACCA qualification route. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with Finance Teams: Address queries and provide timely responses. Monthly Management Reports: Contribute to month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, and adjustments. Transactional Journal Postings: Ensure reconciliation between operational systems and central corporate ledgers. Visibility and Engagement: Meet with colleagues to ensure understanding of financial processes. Reconciliations: Perform monthly and control account reconciliations. Ledger Transactions: Review and correct miscoding issues. Contractor/Agency Spend Data: Provide monthly spend data. System Interfaces: Process and reconcile daily interfaces between operational and corporate software systems. Purchase and Sales Ledger Functions: Ensure effective ledger functions, including invoicing and reviewing reports. Data Protection: Protect data in accordance with Data Protection Legislation.
