Temporary IT Staging Technician

Our client, a national Technology leader, are looking to recruit an IT Staging Technician to join them on a Temporary basis in Cardiff for a period of 1 month initially. The role will involve supporting with the testing and staging of IT tech, ready for deployment to customer installations. This role would suit someone with a good understanding of IT, computers, hardware and software, and someone looking to start a long-term career in tech, with lots of opportunities to go permanent for the right person. Due to location, candidates MUST have access to their own transport. What you'll be doing: Imaging, building, configuring and staging of IT systems (PC's/Network equipment/servers/cameras/tablets/hand-held devices) to ensure full functionality before deployment to customer project site. Supporting with software and firmware upgrades/downgrades (including routers, firewalls, and switches) Supporting with picking, packing, and dispatch of equipment to customer project sites.What you'll need: Strong experience in IT / Computer systems including hardware & software. Great customer experience and ability to communicate positively. Positive, solutions focused approach to work tasks. Manually dextrous. Good understanding of health & safety in a work environment. Able to drive with access to own transport essential due to location. Able to pass a DBS check
