Job Description
Iconic, Australian Enterprise Typescript, ReactJS, and Node Develop & Maintain a Point of Sale (POS) System We are seeking a talented software engineer who understands the digital application landscape and is well equipped to contribute to ongoing development and deployment of our point-of-sale application. You will work as part of a team of engineers to support, operate, maintain, and develop new features, collaborating with Delivery Lead, Product Owner, Business Analysts, Architects, UI/UX Designers, Testers and other team members to ensure successful delivery of required digital application products and services within the Retail Network. The successful applicant will be a key contributor to the future of the retail point of sale system, reshaping the way people work across the country. This is a great opportunity to get involved in developing a system that processes over a quarter of a billion transactions per annum. Responsibilities Working within a delivery team to develop and maintain a Point of Sale (POS) system for the retail network Developing re-usable React components with Typescript, able to be used across other future company applications Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with integrated unit tests, adhering to best practices Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver high-quality products Working with internal team members and stakeholders to ensure success and quality Working on troubleshooting and bug fixing and improving application performance Ideal Requirements Advanced knowledge of modern front end development languages such as Typescript, ReactJS, and Node Knowledge and experience with CI/CD Frameworks (Gitlab preferably) Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) design and implementation (REST/JSON) Experience using Electron will be advantageous Ability to quickly identify and understand technical issues and explain them to non-technical team members and management Knowledge of current Security coding principles: an awareness of security tools, common issues and best practice when it comes to protecting systems from intrusion, misuse or exposure of sensitive data A hands-on, can-do approach and the willingness to go above and beyond Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong and clear communication Problem-solving skills If you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please submit your CV by clicking on APPLY.
