We are seeking a Value Improvement Engineer (mainly as Piping or Stress Engineer) whose main functions will include: Supporting project leaders, engineering, and construction teams in identifying and implementing cost or schedule reduction alternatives. Benchmarking design against historical performance, industry norms, and client standards to provide alternative designs that meet but do not exceed customer requirements. Facilitating value workshops and identifying opportunities for process enhancement. Managing communications or workshops with clients as required. Preparing multi-discipline conceptual and definitive cost reduction proposals for capital projects with the assistance of project technical disciplines. Breaking down silos to improve communication and teamwork. Providing recommendations for incorporation into corporate specifications and standards. Translating project scope and proposed alternatives into estimates of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement, and construction. Identifying areas of uncertainty and applying appropriate allowances. Supporting the estimation team by collecting actual and alternative cost performance data, developing metrics, and benchmarking information. Staying updated on new techniques and materials through literature review, contractor contacts, and professional meetings. Using in-house procedures and databases, ensuring they are updated during project execution. Skills/Qualifications: 10-15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in petrochemical, refinery, chemical, or power generation projects as a senior specialist or project engineer. Advanced industry expertise with a proven ability to understand industry trends and strategic opportunities. Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and equipment. Ability to work with project teams and build relationships with internal and external clients, preferably with international experience. Strong problem analysis and solving skills.
