Job Description
In this function, you will engage in multidisciplinary design tasks and delve into specialized technical subjects. You'll collaborate closely with various internal departments to ensure smooth integration of systems and equipment utilized within the fleet. Note that this is a hands-on technical role focused on delivering exceptional, compliant, and innovative engineering solutions for complex undertakings, rather than a management position. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualize and design ships, hull structures, onboard systems, and mission equipment. Conduct detailed analyses regarding structural integrity, hydrodynamics, and stability. Design complex systems such as electrical power plants, automation systems, and auxiliary installations. Guarantee that all designs comply with classification society and regulatory standards. Partner with internal teams to establish functional descriptions and technical specifications. Aid the procurement process by ensuring compatibility with system designs. Present novel, sustainable, and cost-efficient solutions to enhance vessel performance. Oversee the integration of systems from design through to commissioning, ensuring full operational functionality. Collaborate with design offices, production teams, and testing facilities to verify the validity of concepts. Prepare thorough technical documentation, risk assessments, and design reports. Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Engineering. Robust technical knowledge coupled with strong analytical capabilities. Practical experience in executing complex, multidisciplinary engineering tasks and system integration. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-moving project environment. Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative team player with a focus on solutions. Responsible and proactive, with a dedication to achieving technical excellence.
