Job Description

HR Advisor / HR Generalist required to join a well-established, UK-based engineering business with a 300 strong workforce spanning service, design, sales, projects, and support functions. Backed by a global group yet independently run in the UK, the business is a recognised leader in its sector - growing, modernising, and committed to putting people at the heart of its success. The Role Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll provide hands-on, generalist HR support across multiple UK sites. This is a varied and commercial role, covering everything from employee relations and recruitment to induction, performance management, and day-to-day HR operations. Key Responsibilities * Advise managers and staff on all aspects of HR policy and practice * Manage ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, and performance * Lead recruitment across multiple departments * Support and coach managers through appraisals and development * Coordinate inductions and help embed company values * Maintain HR systems, assist with payroll, and manage company vehicles Background * Experienced HR Advisor or Generalist (or HRBP) with strong all-round capability * Skilled in handling complex ER matters fairly and confidently * Knowledgeable in UK employment law with a practical solutions approach * Strong communicator * Confident using Microsoft Office; IRIS Cascade experience a bonus * CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it) preferred What’s on Offer * Competitive salary £40,000 – £45,000 * 26 days holiday bank holidays * Private Medical Insurance * Pension & Life Assurance * Company sick pay * Study support & professional development * Long service awards, referral bonuses & retail discounts
