Job Description
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit x 2 Cloud Analysts until the 31st of March 2026 on a rate of £550/day (Inside IR35). These roles will have flexible working arrangements. Responsibilities: - Provide support on all aspects of the Microsoft Azure Cloud, including but not limited to; Arm/Bicep Templates, Azure networking services including Virtual Network (VNet), Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints, Peering Service and Azure Bastion, Azure Virtual Machines and Microsoft Entra ID - Effectively manage the incident and request queues to ensure all incidents and requests are closed in line with service level agreements - Ad hoc project work to support the implementation or improvement of services based on the Hybrid Cloud technologies - Monitor the performance of the partners Public Cloud and Virtual Private Cloud infrastructure - Attend technical meetings with peers and interact with enough knowledge to contribute to end results - Provide mentoring, support and training to 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support staff, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and within designated SLA timescale. - Improving the availability, reliability, stability of all areas and components of the Microsoft infrastructure - Management of Virtual Machines within the Public Cloud - Proactive monitoring of the Service to prevent incidents - Security and Compliance monitoring and reporting support and production of necessary materials - Provide Face to face support where additional investigation is required or to resolve issues where remote support is not possible - Proactively monitor the services across the Microsoft platform to ensure service stability and performance Essential Skills: - Demonstrable work experience equivalent to SCQF level 9 or be educated to degree level - Relevant experience in a similar Senior technical role - Experience of managing Azure environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID and Networking - Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) - Good understanding of Microsoft M365 components - Knowledge and experience in Azure Arm/Bicep Templates, Azure networking services including Virtual Network (VNet), Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints, Peering Service and Azure Bastion, Azure Virtual Machines and Microsoft Entra ID - Customer Focused with the ability to understand and resolve technical issues - Excellent communication skills - Good analytical and problem-solving skills - Prepared to take personal accountability for defined area of responsibility - Ability to work under pressure - Good attention to detail - Ability to be innovative especially when looking for solutions taking value for money into account - Flexible and proactive Desirable Skills: - ITIL Foundation - Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) - Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) - Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) - Understanding of Networking principles - Understanding of Security principles - Desire to widen area of expertise and to look for personal development opportunities If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
