Duration: Permanent Our client is looking to expand their technical team and is looking for a talented Backend Developer to join their expanding IT team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced backend developer with a background in cloud-native or SaaS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong web development skills, ideally with hands-on experience using Laravel 12 or a similar PHP framework. What our client offers: * Work on building and improving backend systems for new and existing web applications * Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to deliver full-stack features * Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using PHP (Laravel or similar frameworks) * Support cloud-based deployment and infrastructure management * Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and fix bugs as they arise * Contribute to improving system performance and reliability * Take part in code reviews and share feedback with the team * Help shape and maintain API integrations with third-party services * Stay updated with best practices and emerging technologies What we are looking for: * Proven experience as a backend developer in a cloud-native or SaaS environment- 3 years * Strong knowledge of PHP, ideally with experience using Laravel 12 or similar frameworks * Experience working with relational databases (e.g. MySQL) * Understanding of API development and integration (RESTful APIs) * Familiarity with Git version control * Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams * Good problem-solving and debugging skills * Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code * Strong communication and collaboration skills * Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines (desirable) * Knowledge of Docker and containerised environments (a bonus) * Comfortable using cloud platforms like AWS or similar (preferred) So, are you ready for your next job?
