Senior Component Engineer

Job Title: Senior Component Engineer Location: Hertfordshire, Stevenage Job Type: Contract, expected to work full-time hours, 1-2 days per week on site Primary Industry: Aerospace and Aviation Secondary Industry: Engineering Job Duties: Design and develop components for aerospace and aviation systems Conduct analysis and testing of components to ensure they meet industry standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate components into larger systems Provide technical support and guidance throughout the component development process Document all design and testing processes for future reference Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Proven experience in component engineering within the aerospace industry Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards Excellent problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Experience: Proven experience in component engineering within the aerospace industry Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards Excellent problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Proficiency in design software and analysis tools Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering or related field Professional certification in component engineering Experience with project management Working Conditions: The role is based in an office setting with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities or testing sites. Travel may be required to meet with suppliers or attend industry conferences. The work may involve some level of physical activity when conducting on-site inspections or tests
