Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee our sales operations in Mexico, with a special focus on penetrating the aerospace and defense markets while also managing general industry sales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of both sectors, possess exceptional leadership skills, and have a proven track record of successful sales management. Requirements: Experience in sales management, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or industrial sectors. Strong understanding of both the general industry and aerospace/defense market dynamics. Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies. Must be bilingual (Spanish and English) Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel within the region as necessary. Essential Job Functions: Sales specialist in the Aerospace and Defense industry: Previous experience selling to companies in the Aerospace and Defense sectors. Knowledge of aerospace standards: AS9100, NAS, MS, AN, ISO, ITAR, EAR DIN, ISO9001. Knowledge about the main Aerospace Fasteners suppliers, OEMs, MROs, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers in the sector. Knowledge of the hardware, fasteners, or mechanical components industry, ideally in regulated markets such as Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Electronic. Experience with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Kitting programs. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers and opportunities in the aerospace and defense sectors as well as in general industry. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics to effectively position our products and services. Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement strategic sales plans that align with corporate objectives and target key market segments. Develop tailored solutions to address client needs in the aerospace, defense, and general industries. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, defense contractors, and other industry participants. Engage with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and explore upselling opportunities. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve sales targets and enhance overall performance. Provide training and support on product knowledge, sales tactics, and customer relationship management. Sales Performance Monitoring: Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, monitor performance against targets, and prepare regular reports for management. Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust strategies as necessary. Networking and Representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and relevant networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Participate in industry organizations to stay connected with market developments and opportunities. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to ensure alignment between sales initiatives and broader company goals. Collaborate on promotional activities and campaigns tailored to the aerospace and defense sectors.
