Job Description
The Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role is responsible for maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and internal controls, and driving process improvements for increased efficiency. Responsibilities Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, including training, performance management, and delegation of tasks. Review and approve payment runs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms and company policies. Resolve complex vendor inquiries and discrepancies, working cross-functionally with procurement and other departments as needed. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and reconcile AP ledger accounts regularly. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable. Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements. Generate and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics for management review. Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Identify opportunities for process automation and implement improvements to streamline workflows. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
