We are currently seeking a Construction Data Scientist , reporting directly to the Global Construction Data Innovation Manager in Rome, to join our Construction Data Science team based in Paris (France) and Rome (Italy). The Global Construction Data Innovation (GCDI) is part of Global Construction within the Delivery Excellence division. It aims to develop and improve digital solutions, data science solutions (data analytics and AI), data accessibility, and BI reporting for better estimating, preparing, and controlling construction activities, with the goal to optimize resources, costs, and duration. The Construction Data Scientist will be part of the Construction Data Science team. They will have expertise in mathematics and statistics, along with curiosity and creativity. Their role involves mining, interpreting, and cleaning data, asking questions, connecting dots, and uncovering hidden opportunities to realize the data’s full potential. The role involves supporting global projects to maximize data use for value creation and site management, analyzing past construction project data for benchmarking and pattern identification, and producing digital solutions for data-driven construction management decisions. They will interface with site teams, CMC teams, Data Office teams, and IDS teams, striving to improve construction performance continuously. The Construction Data Scientist will perform tasks such as: Enabling smarter business processes through analytics for insights and problem-solving. Analyzing data to identify patterns and trends for future recommendations. Developing data visualization and storytelling solutions. Collaborating with business units to understand needs and develop use cases. Working with IT and Data Office to understand and develop the data framework. Exploring data characteristics and aligning them with business use cases. Interacting with Data Engineering for data setup and preparation. Developing modeling methodologies, feature engineering, and validating models. Monitoring and fine-tuning models post-deployment. Collaborating with IT and Data Office for deployment and industrialization. Communicating findings to stakeholders and preparing documentation, training, webinars. About You We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably IT or Mechanical), or Computer Science , or Mathematical Main Skills: Analytical thinking for translating data into insights and products. Storytelling mindset. Strong communication skills to identify needs and present findings. Ability to interface with IT and Data Office for data framework understanding. Knowledge of machine learning models related to business use cases. Ability to identify relevant metrics and monitoring systems. Curiosity in data science, open-mindedness, and awareness of latest developments. Creative and strategic thinking with problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously. Teamwork attitude in an international, multicultural environment. Timely delivery of tasks with quality standards. Capability to work incrementally. Willingness for international mobility (short or long-term). Knowledge of data mining, mathematics, and statistics. Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Julia, and data science libraries. Understanding of main machine learning models (supervised and unsupervised). Knowledge of data pipelines, cleansing, and preparation. Knowledge of statistical computing packages (e.g., R) is a plus. Knowledge of NLP, LLMs, and Agile, Git, DevOps, MLOps practices are pluses. Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., PowerBI), Dataiku, Synapse are pluses. Knowledge of construction work processes is a plus.
