Job Title: FW/SW Designer/Architect Purpose of the job: Design firmware/software components and implement them; Deliver firmware/software solutions for electronic product development within onboard railway systems; Ensure QCD management on software development activities; Support product functionality validation, on test benches and on trains. Organisation reporting: Direct report: Electronic HW/FW Design Manager Functional report: Not foreseen Network & Links: Internal: External: Not foreseen. Responsibilities: Define firmware/software requirements specifications based on product and system requirements; Develop software components: Perform detailed design and coding (including drivers, OS, etc.); Set up the software development tool chain; Specify, design, prepare, and perform tests and verifications; Manage software work products under configuration management; Support software/hardware integration; Write SW Quality Documentation. Define functional, operational, interface, and performance requirements; Ensure QCD commitments; Contribute to standardization by reusing or implementing reusable solutions, including COTS; Support software lifecycle maintenance; Participate in troubleshooting task-forces; Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE, processes); Stay informed on technological evolutions through techno watch. Mandatory: Experience: Minimum 5 years in FW/SW development in industrial contexts and 1 year in railway domain; Experience with functional safety standards (EN50126, EN50567, EN50128, ); Experience with cybersecurity requirements; Experience with high availability and real-time requirements; Ability to work transversally with engineering teams; Proficiency with OS and SW tools for design/validation (e.g., Visual Studio, WEC7 OS, Linux, QA-MISRA, Cantata); Proficiency in C, C++ programming, object-oriented programming; Practical electronics skills for firmware design and debugging; Knowledge of railway standards (e.g., EN50657, EN50128, EN50155); Design for quality lifecycle.
