Assistant Accountant

CMA has been appointed to recruit for our well established Poole, Dorset based client at an exciting time to join their business and be a part of their large finance department. Their requirement is a newly created role and an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to work closely a senior mentor, you will responsible for a hands on and varied role. Our client is offering an excellent salary and benefits plus great offices. What will the Assistant Accountant role involve? Assisting in management accounts on a monthly basis, reporting closely to senior management; Intercompany reconciliations; Month end processes including accruals and prepayments, agreeing company balances and complex reconciliations; Maintaining the fixed asset register; Balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring all internal controls are correctly adhered to; Cashbook management; Cashflow preparation. Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy: You will be an AAT studier or already embarked with CIMA or ACCA, or qualified by experience; A confident systems user and Excel to an intermediate level is essential; Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a keenness to progress.
